Taiwan manufacturer to ship Verizon iPhone 4 in time for Christmas

Pegatron Technology, a electronics manufacturer located in Taiwan, is currently building iPhone 4 phones that use CDMA not GSM.  CDMA is the technology used on the Verizon network in the United States.  According to sources the CDMA iPhone 4’s will be shipped sometime in Q4 2010. Apple iPhone 4 pre-order system is down

After waiting on hold for more than 3 hours with Apple, we were informed that their pre-order system has crashed!  According to the phone rep, no one has been able to order the new iPhone yet this morning.
She suggested calling back later in the afternoon.

Pre-orders for the new iPhone 4 start today

June 15, 2010

Starting today people can pre-order the new iPhone 4 from Apple.  You can choose to either have the phone delivered to your home/office or pick it up in person at your local Apple store starting at 7am on June24th.
There are reports of sporadic site outages on the Apple store and hour long waits when calling.
