Starbucks announces free Wifi in stores starting July 1

The CEO of Starbucks coffee announced today that starting July 1st customers will be able to access Wifi for free in all stores within the United States.  The access is dubbed one-click Wi-Fi which means that customers will not have to login to a separate website in order to gain Internet access.

Survey finds that iPhone has 28% market share vs. 9% for Android in US

Nielsen published a survey that found that iPhone has a 28% market share in the United States versus 9% market share for Android.  The top smartphone was Blackberry with 35% market share. 
The survey also contained the following findings:

Android users are typically younger, less wealthy, and less educated

iPhone users forced to choose between unlimited data or tethering

AT&T has announced that iPhone users can continue with their unlimited data plan if they desire.  Unfortunately, those who want to tether will loose the unlimited data plan.  People who opt for tethering will be forced to move to a 2gb limit data plan with overage charges for each gigabyte over the 2gb limit.

AT&T increases early termination fees

AT&T announced today that they would increasing early termination fees on smartphones and netbooks from $175 to $325 beginning on June 1.
